COVID-19: Learn How Camp Cory is Preparing

The YMCA of Greater Rochester understands you may be concerned about your health and safety when traveling to and staying at one of our facilities. We want to assure you that your concerns are important to us; protecting your health during your visit is a top priority for us.

We are continuing to respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, following guidelines set in place by the Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We are adapting our cleaning processes and practices to maintain the most sanitary environment possible.

At this time, we do have a process in place to screen children at check-in should that be necessary, and we are planning to put in place additional handwashing and hand-sanitizing stations. We are also monitoring what is happening across the globe, and how it could impact our international staff.

We will continue to update you with our policies as we amend them, but in the meantime, we want to share with you what we know now. For the most up to date information on the steps the YMCA of Greater Rochester is taking, we encourage you to check our website.

We continue to monitor how we operate programs and our facilities daily. We have a plan in place in the event of a confirmed COVID-19 case among our staff, members or campers and will communicate with you through email and social media if we need to cancel programs and classes or close our facility. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

We understand we are in a very fluid situation, but we don’t want that to stand in your way of registering for the summer. That’s why we have amended our cancellation policy. Typically, you must cancel 30 days prior to your child’s arrival to camp to receive a refund of all monies less deposit and membership fee. We are amending that to 14 days prior to your arrival to camp and you will receive a full refund, including your deposit. If for any reason the YMCA of Greater Rochester must cancel camp, you will be refunded.
